Each month on the last Tuestday of the month (non-holiday) we are proud to host a community meal to serve our Leavenworth-Lansing community persons who want to join us.  Our cook really prepare a fine meal complete with fress fruit and vegtables and many many deserts.  Join us and have a good time and some good food.

We received $124.39 from Dillon’s for our participation in the Dillon’s Community Reward Program for the first three months of 2016! These monies go to support our Free Community Meal Program. We also received $200 donation from the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul for the
Free Community Meal Program.
Our donations for the Shelter of Hope during January and February were very successful. Judy Wiedower and Carl Johnson delivered large loads of donated items for the homeless shelter.
During May we will collect donations of diapers and baby wipes for the Lamb’s Inn that will be delivered after Mother’s Day. Last year we collected over 422 diapers and 2 baby blankets for the Inn.
In June and July, we will be asking for donations of school supplies to help needy high school students. Their needs are different than those of younger students that we have helped in the past. It was brought to our attention that some high school students are, in fact, very needy. 50% of the students at LHS are eligible for free lunches. We will include a list of needed items in the Leaven next month.
